Here's an overview of our recent work

Experiment's control module for materials testing

In 1985 European Union, United States, Soviet Union and Japan began the joint project ITER with the goal to build world's first experimental fusion reactor. The project was repeatedly delayed by financial and political problems, but in 2001 the differences were finally overcome and the project was reignited. Over last few years the scientists of Tartu University have also contributed to the project via EURATOM program, their task being the testing of different coating materials and development of diagnostic methods.

OÜ Insenerlahendused constructed the electronics module that synchronizes laser's pulse, spectrometer's start and the stepping motor guiding the laser beam. The experiment researches and develops methods for remote diagnostics that in the future will allow the evaluation of ITER's reactor walls without directly entering it.

Renewable energy lab for TUT's Virumaa College

Constantly growing exploitation of diminishing fossil fuel reserves keeps rising their prices. At the same time are new technologies enabling more and more efficient and cost-effective utilization of renewable wind- and solar energy. The general direction of development in this area is clear: various alternatives for fossil fuels will in time completely replace their consumption. Nevertheless, society's awareness of alternative energy sources here in Estonia could be better for people have practically no possibilities to explore these technologies.

OÜ Insenerlahendused built an unique educational laboratory with the goal to fulfill this gap through the creation of a practical teaching system that would familiarize students with renewable energy from its production and storage to utilization.

Modernization of the press Tecnotest 50

An important value that characterizes a material is its modulus of elasticity, also called Young's modulus. Experimental determination of elasticity modulus is often accomplished by measuring two physical quantities: displacement and mechanical tension. Simultaneous determination of these two characteristics is not a simple task, however, especially when the analyzed alloy happens to be a stronger (metallic) alloy: even a small displacement requires a very great force.

OÜ Insenerlahendused created a solution that integrates the universal press Tecnotest 50 from Italian company Tecnotest with an extensometer by the company EpsilonTech. Elasticity modulus of the analyzed material is calculated in real-time based on the readout from pressure sensor of the universal press and extension of the extensiometer/test sample. The system is used for educational purposes by University of Applied Sciences in Tallinn.

System for real-time energy measurements in two channels

To measure electricity, one must know both the strength and voltage of the current. Sensors based on Hall's effect measure current's strenght without creating resistance in the circuit and are well suited for measuring stronger electrical currents. Voltage can be measured by using special sensors as well as with ordinary attenuators.

Our system measures both current strenght (up to 80 A) as well as voltage (up to 100 V) in two identical channels. Measured values are saved in a database. The system is used by Energy Department of Estonian University of Life Sciences for measuring energy volume delivered by a wind turbine (1 kW). Results are used in scientific research.

Shipment tracking software for government agencies

The system created by Insenerlahendused OÜ allows package tracking down to their actual localization, in real time. Shipment processing leaves permanent history describing the movement of packages and people who processed them.

  • Package movement data management.
  • Compilation, reasoning and reception of orders.
  • Access according to responsibility areas of individual offices or roles.
  • Global departure-destination map.
  • Integrated routes and flight plans.

Student's information system tahvel.ee for distribution of educational materials

Tahvel.ee is a portal for distributing educational materials, built on modified mediawiki-based webware. In addition to text-based materials it is able to display animations and videos which are handled by the system in the same manner as texts.

The tahvel.ee system is an educational tool that has been integrated with curriculum, existing textbooks and multimedia tools, greatly accelerating the integration of contemporary tools for "e-education" into schools and subject syllabus.
