| 5S is a broadly used method for increasing productivity. Compared to other production methodologies, 5S is considered to be the cornerstone of cost-based production because it enables necessary stability for improving the production process while maintaining the achievements. The implementation of 5S produces objectively measurable results. The most reliable way for assesing the implementation is to find out the production efficiency through creating and monitoring particular measurable values.
There are simpler ways. For example, measure the time needed for finding a required tool before the implementation of 5S and measure it again after organizing the workplace. It is also possible to present the influence of 5S through pictures. For realizing the visual results you create in every stage "before" and "after" pictures that express the successes of the stage through side by side comparison. Pictures are a very effective way for stressing the improved appearance of the workplace.
